#024 TUNDRA & Silas Veta – EPICENTER, 2015 We’re picking the 100 iconic media art experiences of the last decade. Follow @papillons.agency to catch the rest. We are always drawn to light. EPICENTER by TUNDRA and SILA SVETA is a site-specific installation built from a field of moving-head beams, turning an industrial space into something closer to a seismic event than a light show. Dozens of motorised lights sweep, collide and fracture the darkness, creating an atmosphere that feels less designed than discovered. The audience is placed inside a phenomenon rather than in front of a performance - light becomes a force you witness, not a tool for entertainment. Originally created for the 7th anniversary of ARMA17 in Moscow, the work sits on the edge of spectacle and intimidation, pushing stage lighting into the territory of raw experiential art.
