Russia-Armenia relations before the vote Conversation with Asbed Bedrossisan and Hovik Manucharyan at the English-language «Armenian News Network - Groong» podcast 1. It was a good chance to address the English-speaking audience. I tried to represent the Russian expert viewpoint on the current developments in Armenia and around it. 2. We managed to discuss the wide spectrum of issues. First of all we defined two dimensions of upcoming elections-proper domestic as well as geopolitical. 3. We also considered the electoral campaign as stress test for Pashinyan’s system and for Russo-Armenian relationship. 4. The issue of external interference and influence is intensively discussed. Pashinyan frames foreign interference as a «hybrid war». We observed these perceptions and I tried to demonstrate complexity of this problem. Of course, it is not Russia’s know-how. 5. EU for Armenia: alternative or theater? The co-hosts of the podcast offered this question to be discussed. I assume there is no real choice between European and Eurasian integration. The first one looks like PR- concept not real proposal. 6. Of course we analyzed mistakes and responsibilities of Moscow.
