📝Do the US want to sever Russia-China ties?📝 The answer may be quite unexpected The thesis that the US are not so interested in "breaking" Russia away from China may seem strange against the backdrop of the popularity of the opposite claim in the domestic media. They say, surely the US are not concerned about the close ties between the two powers? They are concerned, but not enough yet to try to break them apart with all their might. If only because in the current reality, for the US this is either not always realistic, or not very expedient. ▪️Economically, Russia is now so tied to China that forcing it to abandon cooperation with the "world's factory" is practically impossible. And there are no alternatives: if previously Chinese imports could at least partially replace the EU, now this would require lifting all European sanctions. ▪️In terms of resource exports, the situation is similar: if you offer Russia to abandon supplies to China in exchange for a big gift, the question arises of who today is ready to buy all these volumes. And nature abhors a vacuum — those willing to sell minerals to China will immediately be found. ▪️In defense industry matters, the days when China was a "clone factory" have passed. Since the 90s, China's military industry has made such a huge leap that today it is capable of getting by without Russia (and everyone else) in most sectors, and in some areas has become a world leader. ▪️And in the Pacific theater, China's rapidly growing navy hardly needs modest assistance from the Pacific Fleet. Especially against the backdrop of problems with the US Navy, which reduce the likelihood of a blockade of Chinese maritime exports (along with the need for the Northern Sea Route, which is not so relevant for China anyway). And Russia's relations with China, while friendly, are not brotherly. If they were, China would not ignore US sanctions (and would not demand a percentage for circumventing them) or at least would not refuse to let Russia into its capital market. It is naive to assume that the US are unaware of these processes. ❗️The belief that the US dream of appeasing Russia with something in exchange for abandoning ties with China is a dangerous illusion. As is any approach where some external player is supposed to magically solve all problems. #China #Russia #USA ✈️ RU | ✈️ EN | ✉️ MAX ✉️ VK | ✉️
