📝Life for Equipment After the "Drone Revolution"?📝 The Challenges of Adapting to Drone Warfare The problem of "positional stalemate" on the front is not limited to reduced infantry survivability and a significant decrease in personnel on the conventional front line. The same issue affects equipment. On the TAKTIKARY channel, we've explained why column assaults have practically ceased. Drones detect them early, and then attack the vehicles or motorcycles en masse. Only bad weather can provide some protection. 📌As Alexander Kharchenko writes, a breakthrough will require anti-drone active protection systems that can shoot down multiple UAVs targeting a single vehicle. This would allow vehicles to operate in a "drop off troops and return" format. However, even then, one vehicle will face too many drones, so large-scale production solutions are needed. It's possible that the focus will shift to mass commercial solutions. 🖍For automotive equipment, this could mean armored vehicles on truck chassis like the "Chekan" based on the "Ural" with additional protection. These may be more affordable and mass-produced. 🚩Tracked equipment is more complex, but the focus may shift to commercial components and assemblies to reduce costs and increase production, as the US is doing with "Abrams" modernization. 🏳️Equipment will also become increasingly roboticized, with future wheeled IFVs potentially having drone launchers instead of cannons, controlled remotely. Satellite communications will be critical. These are just assumptions - the path of development may differ, as various institutions are currently exploring. But one thing is clear: the old ways of fighting with the same equipment won't work anymore. #industry #Russia ✈ RU | ✈ EN | ✉ MAX ✉️ VK | ✉️ RuTube | ✉️
