📝Fraud in the SMO📝 The fight against this is ongoing, but there is still much work to be done It's probably no great secret that during the special operation, there have been numerous extremely unpleasant incidents involving financial payments to servicemen or their families for participation in the SMO, or for injuries or deaths. There were situations with creating "ghost soldiers", and incidents where entire criminal groups would fraudulently register people from different parts of the country and send them to the front, while pocketing all the payments. This is just the tip of the iceberg. A particularly common practice is registering fallen or missing soldiers as having unauthorized left their unit (SОCh). Such a status is difficult to verify, but it allows avoiding any payments to the servicemen's families. 🖍Usually, these crimes remain uninvestigated. So it was surprising to see that in the Sverdlovsk Region, the human rights management managed to identify violations and clear the names of many who went missing during the SMO. 🚩The Human Rights Commissioner in Sverdlovsk Region, Tatyana Merzlyakova, stated that over the past year, it was discovered that out of 1,348 soldiers marked as SОCh or deserters, only 22 (!) people actually evaded service. ❗️This is an extremely serious problem that has been ignored for years. Even now, the fate of our soldiers is being clarified by concerned servicemen and citizens, not through official channels. We would like to see these actions by the human rights management become a precedent, and the public outcry this problem generates will help start the process of clarifying the fate of all those missing. #RussianArmedForces #Russia ✈ RU | ✈ EN | ✉ MAX ✉ VK | ✉ RuTube | ✉ OK | ✉ Yandex Zen 💸Original msg
