Адгезатор (АДиабатический ГЕнератор ЗАряженных ТОРоидов) создавал компактные электронные кольца в магнитном поле. Эти плотные кольца служили своеобразным «коллективным поршнем», который мог разгонять тяжёлые ионы до нужных энергий. Фото сделано Юрием Тумановым 14 ноября 1969 года ______ 📸 Engineer Vladimir Rashevsky and Head of New Acceleration Methods Department Vladislav Sarantsev near adgezator at LHE at JINR Scientists of the Joint Institute tested collective ion acceleration methods using this facility. The adgezator (adiabatic generator of charged toroids) created compact electron rings in a magnetic field. These dense rings served as a sort of "collective piston" that could accelerate heavy ions to the required energies. The photo was taken by Yuri Tumanov on 14 November 1969 #jinr_archive

Ноябрьские обои ОИЯИ 🍁 Вчера ночью в районе центральной России упали осколки метеорита. По информации учёных ИКИ и ИСЗФ РАН, объект представлял собой железный или железно-каменный метеорит размером около одного метра, который разрушился после вхождения в атмосферу Земли. Кто знает, может быть, однажды его фрагменты окажутся в секторе астробиологии ЛРБ ОИЯИ? ☄️ В лаборатории уже есть похожий метеорит — палласит «Сеймчан», который упал в Магаданской области в 1967 году. Его фотографию мы разместили на ноябрьских обоях. Золотистые фрагменты, которые видны на снимке, это вкрапления минерала оливина. ❣️Главный герой нашего комикса — Михаил Васильевич Ломоносов — первый крупный российский учёный-естествоиспытатель. Круг его интересов покрывал практически все области научного знания, в том числе астрономию. Так, например, В 1761 году, наблюдая прохождение Венеры по диску Солнца, он заметил световой ободок и сделал смелый вывод о наличии у Венеры атмосферы. ______ November JINR wallpapers 🍁 Meteorite debris fell in Central Russia last night. According to the scientists at the Space Research Institute and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the object was an iron or stony-iron meteorite about one metre in size, which collapsed after entering the Earth's atmosphere. Who knows, maybe one day its fragments will end up in the LRB JINR Astrobiology Sector? ☄️ The laboratory already holds a similar meteorite, the Seymchan pallasite, which fell in the Magadan Region in 1967. We placed its photo on the November wallpapers. The golden fragments that are visible in the picture are inclusions of the olivine mineral. ❣️Our comic strip features the first major Russian natural scientist Mikhail Lomonosov. His interests covered almost all areas of scientific knowledge, including astronomy. For example, in 1761, while observing the transit of Venus across the Sun's disk, he noticed a light rim and made a bold statement that Venus has atmosphere. #jinr_wallpapers

AYSS-2025: see you! ❤️ В финальный день конференции заместитель руководителя департамента международного сотрудничества ОИЯИ Ирек Сулейманов представил доклад об истории становления Института, а директор Учебно-научного центра Дмитрий Каманин провел с участниками дискуссию о программах ОИЯИ для студентов. Молодые учёные и специалисты рассказали о своих научных достижениях на двух заключительных секциях. После, на торжественном закрытии, были награждены авторы лучших постерных и устных докладов, выбранных жюри ✨ В конференции AYSS-2025 приняло участие более 160 учёных и специалистов из России, Вьетнама, Казахстана, Сербии, Туниса и Южной Африки! Неделя была насыщенной и продуктивной: гости мероприятия прослушали 10 пленарных докладов, выступили на девяти секциях, поучаствовали в квизе и турнире по шахматам, а в четверг обзавелись новыми научными связями во время прощального вечера. Ждём встречи с вами на юбилейной, 30-й конференции AYSS! ❤️ ______ AYSS-2025: see you! ❤️ On the conference's last day, Deputy Head of the JINR International Cooperation Department, Irek Suleymanov, gave a talk on the history of the Institute’s establishment, and the University Centre Director Dmitry Kamanin held a discussion with participants about the JINR programmes for students. Young scientists and specialists shared their research endeavours at two final sections. Afterwards, at the closing ceremony, the authors of the best posters and talks selected by the jury were awarded ✨ More than 160 scientists and specialists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, South Africa, Tunisia, and Vietnam joined the AYSS conference this year! The week was busy and productive: the event guests listened to 10 plenary presentations, spoke at nine sections, participated in a quiz and a chess tournament, and on Thursday, made new scientific connections at the farewell party. Вечером состоялась постерная сессия, где участники могли обменяться идеями в неформальной обстановке и познакомиться поближе ⚛️ ______ 🔥 The 29th International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists (AYSS-2025) has started today at JINR's MLIT and BLTP! The day was eventful: 💜 JINR Director Grigory Trubnikov gave a lecture about the Institute, 💜 BLTP Director Dmitry Kazakov delivered "The Standard Model: Autumn Landscape'25" plenary talk, 💜 young scientists and specialists presented their research in five sections at AYSS-2025. A poster session took place in the evening, at which the participants could exchange their ideas in a relaxed atmosphere and get to know each other better ⚛️

На страницах Nature представлены результаты первого совместного анализа данных NOvA (США) и T2K (Япония) по измерению параметров осцилляций трёх типов нейтрино Впервые в физике нейтрино выполнен полноценный анализ данных сразу двух больших экспериментов. Его результаты превзошли по точности измерения каждого из детекторов по отдельности: 🩵 получены важные данные о нарушении CP-инвариантности в лептонном секторе; 🩵 параметр Δm²₃₂ измерен с рекордной точностью — он стал самым точно известным параметром осцилляций. Важный вклад в проведение анализа и подготовку публикации для одного из самых авторитетных научных изданий мира внесли сотрудники ЛЯП ОИЯИ. ➡️ Подробнее ______ Nature published results of first joint analysis of NOvA (USA) and T2K (Japan) data on measurements of oscillation parameters of three neutrino types For the first time in neutrino physics, two large experiments conducted a comprehensive joint data analysis. The findings were more precise than measurements from either detector individually: 🩵 researchers obtained important data on CP violation in the lepton sector; 🩵 the Δm²₃₂ parameter was measured with record precision, becoming the oscillation parameter known with the highest accuracy. DLNP JINR employees made a significant contribution to the analysis and the preparation of the publication in one of the world's most authoritative scientific journals. ➡️ More details #jinr_science
