The Gromovs. House of Hope, (2007) The beginning of summer in 1979 was hot, and during this sultry period, four relatives decided to visit their grandmother's old house in Khimki. But instead of a warm welcome, they faced a real drama. The door was opened not by anyone else but by a distant relative, Lyusya, whom they barely knew. She was in no hurry to see the guests. Soon, the woman declared that the house now belonged to her. The guys, stunned by this turn of events, didn't stay standing at the threshold. They understood that there was little point in engaging in a verbal altercation, and they didn't want to tarnish the memory of their grandmother with scandals. Their neighbor, Gelya, a lively and determined woman, came to their aid. She was the grandmother's close friend, which meant she cared about the Gromovs' fate. She practically pulled them into her cozy, albeit somewhat cramped, home. As soon as everyone was settled, she immediately started thinking about how to help the new residents get their lives back on track. Since her own energy wasn't enough, she turned to her friend and lover, Shelest, the head of the local housing maintenance office.
