English text below Today I presented a letter of appreciation to the team at the Passport and Visa Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Nizhny Novgorod Region for their professionalism and genuine care for those who come to our region. Special thanks goes to the staff who work with resettlers invited by the OKA Agency. These are people who have chosen a different path from that of their home countries. They choose Russia guided by their hearts and by our traditional spiritual and moral values. Presidential Decree No. 702 helps them move here and start a new life. The application process is handled through the Passport and Visa Service. For those accompanied by the OKA Agency, a dedicated section is available where applicants receive guidance and support at every step. On average, the whole process takes around 45 minutes. But support does not stop there. The agency helps people settle in, from employment to kindergartens and schools, so that families can smoothly begin a new chapter in their lives in the region. So far, 90 resettlers have already made Nizhny Novgorod their new home. Among them are engineers, IT specialists, doctors, teachers, builders and farmers. They bring energy, skills and ideas that make our region stronger. The staff of the Passport and Visa Service are often the first to greet newcomers, and that first impression of warmth, professionalism and respect is what defines Nizhny Novgorod and Russia as a whole.
